Labor Quotes
The first thing I want to say to you as individuals and as a movement-if you're going to be something, if you're going to do something, you have to be proud of yourself. And you have to be proud of your heritage as a Labor Movement just as you are proud of your family, or your religion, or whatever else it might be.Senator Hubert H. Humphrey (D-Minn., 1949-1964)
What does labor want? We want more schoolhouses and less jails, more books and less arsenals, more learning and less vice, more constant work and less crime, more leisure and less greed, more justice and less revenge.Samuel Gompers, Chicago, 8/28/1893
