People are wearing blue to honor Amber Czech, a 20-year old welder who was tragically killed, by a senseless act or workplace violence at her workplace in Minnesota. Blue is being used as a symbol of solidarity with tradeswomen and to raise awareness about safety and respect in male dominated industries. A GO-FUND-ME page has been set up for Ambers family.

“As her family faces this unimaginable loss, many have reached out asking how they can help. This fund has been created to support Amber’s funeral costs and to help ease the financial burden during this difficult time. Your generosity, prayers, and kind words mean more than we can ever express as we come together to celebrate and remember the bright light Amber brought into our lives.”

🌟 Background on Amber Czech

  • Amber Czech was a young welder working at Advanced Process Technologies in Cokato, Minnesota.
  • On November 11, 2025, she was killed by a coworker in a brutal act of workplace violence.
  • Her death has drawn national attention, highlighting the risks women face in skilled trades and sparking calls for stronger protections.

💙 Why Blue?

  • Blue is the color chosen to honor Amber’s memory and to symbolize the “blue collar” trades community she was part of.
  • On November 18, 2025, people across the country wore blue as a tribute to her life and to stand in solidarity with tradeswomen.
  • Organizations supporting women in trades emphasized that wearing blue is not only about remembrance but also about advocating for safer, more respectful workplaces.
