Class A journeyworker electrician license

MN reciprocity information

Applicants may obtain a Minnesota journeyworker electrician license without examination if they obtained their journeyworker electrician license by examination in any of the following states:

• Alaska
• Arkansas
• Colorado
• Iowa
• Montana
• Nebraska
• North Dakota
• South Dakota
• Wyoming

If you are traveling from another state and desire to perform electric work, but don’t have a MN Class JW License.

you will need to register with the MN Department of Labor as a; Registered Unlicensed Individual

If a call requires a MN Class A JW License and you do not have one, you are not eligble to take the call.
